Our Guiding Principles
- Organize periodic meetings for presenting material to members and to provide the opportunity for members to meet one another and share information.
- Conduct training workshops and seminars using both local and out of town resources.
- Educate people on the ethical use of Type.
- Employ organizational structure only sufficient to produce a continuing, financially responsible group.
- Keep membership open to all interested individuals regardless of formal training or present employment.
- Encourage membership and participation in the Association for Psychological Type (APT).
Our Operating Principles
- Membership is open to all who are interested in psychological type.
- Guests are welcome to attend local meetings. They are encouraged to formalize their membership in both the local and national APT organizations.
- A Steering Committee provides for communication with members, helps develop programs, acts as the decision-making body, and assists the Coordinator/President.
- Committee roles include Treasurer, Membership Chairperson, President-Elect/Program Chair and possible Newsletter Editor.
- Revision of these operating principles will be handled by the Steering Committee.
- Participation in the Steering Committee is open to all TC-APT members.
- The chapter will have a Coordinator also known as a Chapter President, who is an APT and local Chapter Member and is selected by the Steering Committee biannually or as needed.
- The Coordinator/President shall be responsible for relations with regional and national APT.
- General operating expenses will be raised by workshops and special events. A minimal annual fee of $25.00 will be assessed to cover meeting and mailing costs.
- Support from members’ place of work for the production of meeting notices, mailings, and the production of newsletters, shall be encouraged; but if not available, the required operating expenses will come from membership dues.
- Ad hoc committees shall be established as necessary to organize special events such as workshops and seminars.
